LJA students spent several class periods making a replica of the tabernacle described in Exodus 25. The replica included the Tabernacle fence, the Ark of the Covenant, the Altar of Burnt Incense, the Table of Shewbread, the Candlestick, the Laver, and the Altar of Burnt Offering. While the students were making the Tabernacle, they also learned what each piece of furniture symbolized.
Students had been studying about the journey the Children of Israel took out of the land of Egypt. How God gave Moses specific instructions about how the Tabernacle was to be built and what materials should be used.
LJA students also learned that the Tabernacle still has spiritual lessons for us today. The main point emphasized was that because Jesus paid the ultimate price we can live forever with Him in heaven!
