In the next week you may receive a postcard from the Lubbock Junior Academy students in grades 5-8. They are raising funds so they can take the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. with students and teachers from the Sandia View Adventist Elementary School. They will spend a week visiting the Smithsonian, the U.S. Capitol, the Washington Mall, the homes of Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. Along with these historical sites, they will visit Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

These historical sites will help our students become excited about history, civics, biographies and expose them to their American heritage. Traveling to Washington, D.C. will bear witness to our students about America’s defining moments, traditions and creativity. It will also help them feel comfortable around those who live in different parts of the world and have many spheres of interests.

We pray you will help make the difference in the development of these five students with a generous donation of $5, $15, $50, $150, or more. They are looking to raise $5000.

Each donation is tax deductible and will change the life of a child for a lifetime.
