The Fall Week of Prayer at LJA was presented by Pastor Jeremy, November 3-7. Each Fall and Spring LJA has a special week of spiritual emphasis to provide students the opportunity to follow Christ and determine to serve Him for the rest of their lives.

Pastor Jeremy emphasized how our beliefs can be put into actions. Each action mentioned was accompanied by a story explaining how actions can be applied in real life.

Monday, we started with 1 Peter 2:1-2 telling us to read God’s Word. We need to read the Scriptures as much as a new born baby needs to eat the right kinds of food.

Tuesday, Hebrews 10:24 and Romans 12:20-21, students were challenged to motivate others with kind words and deeds.

On Wednesday Philippians 4:8, encouraged students to think on things that are noble and of good report. How what we say and do shows God is the center of our lives.

Thursday, we learned that we are all part of the same body as described in Ephesians 4:25. Just as we need all parts of our own physical body, so we need to encourage those we meet to become a part of the body of Christ.

On Friday, our last day, Matthew 6:24, reminded students, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other.”

Please pray that all of our young people will choose to live the kind of lives God intends. The true way to happiness is to serve others through the power of Jesus Christ.
