As Abraham was called out of Babylon, in like manner God is calling a people today. In Revelation 18:4 we read “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” This time it is not localized to any one man or one region but is worldwide for we read in Revelation 18:3. “For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.” From this text we can see that a few are benefitting and acquiring riches from the delicacies sold to those of all nations. It is common knowledge that greedy men have taken advantage of science to make products that are addictive and the more we consume the richer they become, all at the expense of our health. Hence, the call is made to come out so we do not receive the plagues. There is a simple cause and effect principle at play here on a spiritual level; come out of the false doctrines of Babylon and be saved, but also there is a physical application as well, for Babylon has more than a false doctrine teaching but also a false diet as we see in the book of Daniel. So plainly speaking the call is to come out of the Babylonian lifestyle or get sick. If you want health you must separate yourself from this system.
At this point you may be saying, “This sure doesn’t apply to me, I am very healthy. Thank you”. However, the true witness to Laodicea knew you would say that. Regardless of your attitude toward health, God has designed it to serve a purpose. It is not only for your good but to bless others around you. Notice the call given to Abraham and its purpose in Genesis 12:1-3. “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy coun-try, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will show thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee, and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” To bless others as you are blessed with health is the purpose of living the health message. To Abraham I am sure the destination seemed like a distant dream and likewise health may seem far away for some, but the journey begins with faith in a God who has called you there.
Genesis 12:1 Reads “…unto a land that I will show thee.” Therefore a healthy lifestyle is a destination that needs to be seen and exemplified. In the end time calling out of Babylon there is a lifestyle that needs to be seen by the world. Revelation 18:1 “And the earth was lightened with His glory.
