Greetings Church Family,
We are pleased to welcome
Pastor Joshua Ramirez and his
wife Kate, who are worshiping
with us today and Pastor Josh
will share a sermon message.
Pastor Josh, as he is known,
graduated in 2019 from Southwestern
Adventist University
with a degree in Theology.
During his university years
Pastor Josh was involved in
various ministry experiences
that includes a year as a
student missionary teacher at Palau Mission
Academy in the Micronesian Islands. He also
has served a couple of summers as a Bible
Worker and a leader with the Wildfire Youth
Evangelism team, sponsored by Campion
Academy in Colorado, as well as serving
as the Student Chaplain of
Southwestern Adventist University.
Pastor Josh came to Texico in May, 2019, to
pastor the Clovis & Portales churches in New
Mexico and also the Hereford and Plainview
churches in Texas. When he came, he was
single, but now, through the miracle of shared
memories and the blessings of God, Pastor
Josh and Kate were married in late November
of 2020. Actually, they were both student
missionaries at Palau the same school year,
and now, after several years have passed,
love was kindled and the rest is history.
We are grateful for Pastor Josh’s ministry to
Lubbock Junior Academy this past week as he
spoke to our students for their
Spring Week-of-Prayer.
He shared messages on the theme of
“The Great Rescue”
as he taught about the Plan of Salvation.
Thank you Pastor Josh for coming over each
day and speaking to, praying with, and even
enjoying recess playing together.
