The week of October 9-12 we were honored to have Pastor Buford Griffith Jr. with us for our school morning worship. Pastor Griffith is the Executive Secretary and Family Ministries Director for the Southwestern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

Pastor Griffith told our students about young people in the Bible who gave their lives to Jesus at an early age. The lives of Daniel, David and Samuel are examples of young people who learned from their parents, religious life, and school, the importance of putting God first in their lives. On the last day, he emphasized the boyhood of Jesus who was compassionate and sympathetic with all He came in contact. The students were encouraged to always live by the example Jesus gave us while He was on earth.

Our key text for each day was Ecclesiastics 12:1, “Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw near, when you shall say, I have no pleasure in them.”

Our Lubbock Junior Academy exists to help lead children to Heaven and to live a life of service for Him. Please prayerfully consider sending, or helping send, children to Lubbock Junior Academy.
