2020 has been a year of uncertainty for most of us. For Lubbock Junior Academy, the year started with worries of how COVID 19 would affect enrollment. This school year we started with 12 students and now we have 15. In spite of the challenges we face we are thankful that God provides and is always faithful.
In perspective, before Jesus was born Mary and Joseph had to travel from Nazareth to Bethlehem. It must have been a challenging experience for them, and more difficult for Mary. But, despite the challenges, they made it, just in time for the King of the universe to be born in a manger.
Attitude has an incredible impact on life. It’s more important than facts, the past, education, money, circumstances, failures, success, appearance, giftedness, skill, what other people think, or what they say or do. The remarkable thing is that we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we embrace. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have and that is our attitude.
The apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 4:8,9 that we should fill our minds with things that are true, honest, and just. He said to think on things that are noble, pure, and love. We are to dwell on the good things and follow
the right principles. When we do this Paul says, “the God of peace will be with us”. God will meet all our needs and will protect us. We just need to remain still and be faithful.
