Southwestern Union
EDUCATION
Endowment Fund

The purpose of the Education Endowment Fund is to
give tuition assistance to full-time kindergarten through
university students enrolled in a Seventh-day Adventist
school in the Southwestern Union Conference territory,
who demonstrate the potential for development of
excellence in scholarship, attitude, behavior
and spiritual leadership.

Since this is an endowment fund, the principal is never
spent – only the earnings are used for its purpose.
During 2018, the fund distributed $82,000 for
tuition assistance to the conferences, academies
and university in the Southwestern Union territory.

Our goal is to grow the principal of the fund to $5 million.
Once we reach that goal, it is estimated that the fund
will be able to distribute $225,000 per year
in tuition assistance.

The sources for the principal funding come from
contributions of individuals, foundations and corporations
as well as appropriations from the
Southwestern Union Conference.

Matthew 5:10-12(NIV)

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted
because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when people insult
you, persecute you and falsely say all
kinds of evil against you because of me.
12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your
reward in heaven, for in the same way
they persecuted the prophets
who were before you.
