Pastor Jeremy McCombs and his family have safely relocated to Pendleton, Oregon. Filling the pastoral position in the Lubbock Church has been a challenge and came at a very busy time for the Texico Conference. However, Pastor Phil Robertson and Pastor Lee-Roy Chacon, Texico Conference President, assure us they are diligently searching for a Pastor.
A Big Shout-Out to our Lubbock Board of Elders who have stepped up to fill the pulpit the past month of June.
Many of our Lubbock congregation attended the final session of the General Conference in San Antonio this past Sabbath, July 11. Check with Walter Foust if you would like a copy of Robert Plant’s, July 11, message “Final Exam”.
Abel Rios, will be our “home-grown” guest speaker on Sabbath, July 18. Don’t miss his message “Preparing for Some Kinda Road”. Welcome Home, Abel.
Pastor Phil Robertson will be with us Sabbath, July 25, to introduce Pastor Geraldo Alonzo, who is the current Youth Pastor at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Keene, Texas. Pastor Alonzo will be the guest speaker. Plan to stay for a Fellowship lunch.
We are happy to announce there will be a Vacation Bible School here in Lubbock. Mark your calendar for July 29 through August 1. 6:00 to 8:00pm. Archel Burda and his team of volunteers will present a program guaranteed to “Connect each child to Jesus”. The theme will be PLUG INTO POWER.
Archel Burda and the VBS Kids will present the Worship Service on Sabbath, August 1.
Registration for Lubbock Junior Academy will be Sunday, August 9, 3:00-5:00pm. School begins at 8:30am, Wednesday, August 12.

Texico Prayer Ministry Coordinator, Pastor Jerry Pinzon, will be in Lubbock for a West Texas Prayer Emphasis Weekend, August 28-29. Meetings will begin at 7:00pm, Friday, August 28, watch the bulletin for the Sabbath, August 29 schedule. Keynote speaker will be Ruthie Jacobson. She is the Prayer Ministries Director for the North American Division. Sabbath, August 29, Ruthie Jacobson, will be the guest speaker for the 11 o’clock hour.
