Revelation 4:11 tells us, “Thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Teaching students Bible principles and values through stories about animals is a wonderful Christian teaching strategy.
During the month of October, I’ve been telling stories from, Guide’s Greatest Animal Stories, edited by Lori Peckham.
From the jungles of Asia, across the plains of Africa, into the backyard of America, The Guide magazine for Juniors takes our students back to the Creator. Each story tells again and again of God’s love for His creatures, both two and four-legged. It doesn’t matter if the animals are warm and fuzzy or cold and slithery.
Listening to these well written stories can help our students’ imagination develop when thinking about being tucked away for a late-night crocodile snack or falling into a bear trap – with the bear still in it!
I believe God created animals for our pleasure and for us to learn about His guidance and direction.
