One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Church Family & Friends,

When I first arrived, you may have been shocked to hear four sermons “out of the gate” on prayer. And in looking at today’s title, you might be wondering…

Why such an emphasis on prayer… again?

Good question!

And my best answer: If prayer is one of the best ways for us to grow at being dependent on God, then wouldn’t the temptation to stop talking to God also be one of Satan’s greatest lures?

I guess, I can relate to Abraham Lincoln’s concern when he said;

“I know that the Lord is always on the side of the right, but it is my constant anxiety and prayer that I and this nation may be on the Lord’s side.”

So, I pray you don’t mind yet another look at the incredible blessing of prayer

May the concept of prayer keep permeating every aspect of our lives and in each church ministry!

Welcome to church today AND blessings!
