Worship time is a special time for the students and teacher at Lubbock Junior Academy. Students have an opportunity to relax and listen to me tell of my many favorite stories. I decided to start the year telling true stories of ordinary people who have had extraordinary experiences with angels.
God’s angels still walk the earth today. Sometimes they assume human form, usually in answer to desperate prayer. A heavenly choir sings over the open prairie, attackers see watchmen no one else can see. Soldiers appear out of nowhere in front of the car of an abductor. A friendly house along a dangerous path turns out later not to exist.
Our students also read an accompanying Bible text that reinforces the angel story. Heavenly angels still walk the earth today. They protect us and guide us through this world’s misfortunes. The angel of the Lord still encamps
around those who fear Him.
