Dear Church Family,
I pray this letter finds you blessed. I know that in the midst of each day we are assailed with struggles and challenges. People’s words, seemingly infinite to-do lists, difficulties with work, strife with family, neighbors or even at church, sickness, and disease. We could go on and on. Yet, in the midst of all this there is an Oasis of Peace, a place where we can find strength. Jesus says,

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10

You are not alone. Jesus is with us. He is capable and willing to carry us through to the end, that great day when the curse of sin will finally be removed. Hang on to Him, confide in Him, think about Him, talk about Him, and no matter the storm without, you will find an Oasis of Peace within.

Blessings in store for the March, 11:00 a.m., Worship Services:

March 14, the message will be “No Room for the Devil”. Ephesians 4:27 tells us we are not to give the Devil a place in our lives. I think we should consider this for I believe that sometimes we not only give him a spot, but we build him a room.

March 21, “Newborn Struggles” New Christians, and believers always face troubles. There are some struggles that seem to be common to all, not just to New Christians. This concerns all Christians as we are called to help those who are struggling. Take a look at Romans 15:1-2 and Galations 6:1-2. I look forward to studying this together.

March 28, What is the role of emotion in Christianity? Many criticize worship services that are cold and formal. On the other side, many look down on and feel uncomfortable with, any overt display of emotion and feeling. Formalism and emotionalism are both dangers. We will look at this in the message, “Drawn or Driven”.

I’m so grateful for each prayer you pray for me, as I am praying for each of you!

Sincerely,
Pastor Jeremy McCombs
