During the summer of 2014, Richard Thompson joined the Ultimate Workout with Maranatha International in the Dominican Republic. He worked on a construction crew that rebuilt three churches. Each church was originally built for 60 members, but is now in need of space for 250 worshippers.

Richard along with 200 other teenagers and 100 construction workers, spent two weeks building churches with concrete blocks and steel rods. This teams worked five days each week and accomplished an enormous amount of work, including conducting a Vacation Bible School.

Richard finished sharing his experience with the blessed words of Hebrews 12:1-3 “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

The growth of the gospel is astounding. Maranatha, everyone! Jesus is coming again.
