Last Sabbath, James Crowley, a patriarch of the Lubbock Seventh-day Adventist Church and a supporter of the Lubbock Junior Academy went to sleep in Jesus.

One of his last wishes published in the Lubbock Avalanche Journal stated: “The family suggests memorials to Lubbock Seventh-day Adventist Church School.”

We are extremely grateful to James Crowley, along with Doris Pate and Funa Williams who have all remembered the “church school”. The school would cease to be without the support of this church!

Every day between Thanksgiving break and Christmas break, our worships at Lubbock Junior Academy have centered around telling the best Christmas stories. These stories have come from the book Christmas in my Heart, by author and English professor Joe Wheeler, and Guide Magazine’s Guide’s Greatest Christmas Stories.
These stories emphasize giving to others and the blessings Jesus has given us.

We try to make our school a place where students feel part of a loving and generous family. Also, we want to create memories that touch the heart. Each story
has the ability to make all of us laugh or cry. They can tug at our heartstrings, and remind us that only a Christ-filled Christmas has any real meaning.
