The Lubbock Junior Academy students presented their Christmas program for the church service on the first Sabbath in December. The theme was, “The Best Christmas Present.” The program was intermixed with familiar carols and a few new ones.

Our thoughts were centered on Jesus as God’s true Christmas Present, the Gift that is given daily. A manger with a babe and brightly wrapped presents decorated the church platform. Students presented the opening remarks, offertory, and the Circle of Prayer.

The congregation had the opportunity to hear and see the LJA students express God’s love for His people. One of the most famous Bible verses, John 3:16 states, “God loved the world so much, that he gave His one and only Son, so that whoever believes in him may not be lost but have eternal life.”

At LJA we explain that it was Mary, Jesus’ mother, who wrapped the first Christmas present, and it is our privilege to accept and choose to follow this gift of Jesus Christ.
