Dear Church Family and Friends,
August is the month of beginnings – for instance, more babies are born in August than any other month. Here’s a few, Frances Scott Key, Annie Oakley and Orville Wright. Then just consider where would we be without The Star Spangled Banner, the best shooter and the airplane?
We also have a new beginning with the first Sabbath of each month being designated as Prophecy Sabbath. The presentation will of course be on what else – but prophecy. Thus our message on Sabbath, August 6, will be THE WORLD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN.
Ah, but the first Sunday of August comes with a new beginning for school – that is Open-House and Registration at Lubbock Junior Academy from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Come early to enjoy an Enchilada dinner fund-raiser at 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Sabbath, August 13, Chaplain Ken Cartwright will bring to us a timely message, FAIR WARNING.
Sabbath, August 20, a glimpse into the Great Controversy will be gleaned from the sermon on HEADS OR TAILS.
Sabbath, August 27, Pastor Basit, from Clovis, New Mexico will speak on DIVINE IMMUNITY.
August promises to bring lasting memories to each of us as we worship and celebrate the Sabbath with our Lord and His family.
